Who we are

The British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA), and its forerunner organisations, has been representing the interests of sign makers and other businesses associated with the sign industry in the UK since 1918.

Today, members include every type and size of sign business, from craftsman signwriters through companies that manufacture architectural and illuminated signage to those that specialise in the production of vinyl signage, vehicle liveries and digitally produced signs.

The Association also represents a number of other sign related business sectors including sign installers, sign designers, consultants and businesses that manufacture and distribute products, materials and equipment used in sign making.

The Association has three principal objectives:

1. To support, represent and lobby on behalf of the members.

2. To encourage and promote the highest quality standards in both workmanship and customer service.

3. To promote the services and gain recognition for member companies, who have agreed to abide by the BSGA Code of Practice, with sign buyers and sign specifiers.

The BSGA is run by a Council, made up of volunteer members who serve on both the Council and a number of specialist sub-committees. The day-to-day business of the Association is managed by expert, full-time staff including BSGA Director Albert Baxter and his assistant Sue Collins.

The BSGA is the UK’s only trade association dedicated to guarding the interests and providing services to whole sign industry in Great Britain.
